Discover the new vegetable garden workshop at Domaine du Château des Pères, led by Carole, a passionate gardener!

From April to October, these three-hour workshops invite you to immerse yourself in the world of gardening, through themes that change with the seasons. Taste, plant, harvest, and explore techniques such as garden biodiversity, vegetable garden planning, and growing aromatic and unusual plants.

The various topics covered:

- Different methods of plant propagation

- Soil cultivation

- Biodiversity in the garden

- Planning your vegetable garden

- Maintaining your vegetable garden effortlessly

- Growing in a greenhouse or a tunnel

- Aromatic and medicinal plants, forgotten and unusual vegetables, and the essentials for starting your vegetable garden.

Friendly and accessible, this workshop is aimed at everyone, from the curious to the experienced gardener, to learn and share about the richness of the vegetable garden.

Gwénaël des Garennes, visual artist, will accompany you in the creation of a linocut. For 3 hours, discover a new artistic universe and familiarize yourself with the emblematic tool of this technique: the gouge. Linocut is a technique of printing on paper using an engraved linoleum plate. Thanks to this workshop, you will learn different technical gestures such as engraving, inking and using a press. You will be able to choose your pattern from the models offered. This workshop is practiced seated, it is accessible to all. This workshop does not require any prerequisites and even allows beginners to leave with a beautiful print that can be framed or used as a personalized card to send your wishes or wish a birthday!

Mickaël BIGOT, sculptor, only works with recycled metal. Metalworking requires no prerequisites and allows even the most novice to create an aesthetic work in a very short time. Over the course of a day, you will have the opportunity to discover the techniques of cutting, grinding, assembly, arc welding and will leave with a work sculpted and made by your own hands at the end of the day.

Whether you are a novice or passionate, Yann shares his know-how with you during workshops open to the general public. In addition to the classic throwing and turning techniques specific to traditional pottery, you will have the opportunity to explore these unique Japanese methods with him and many others depending on your desires.

There is something magical about letting your hands get lost in the earth, to observe, as the gesture progresses, a shape that is born under our fingers. Under the benevolent eye of Yann Parfait, far from standards, far from rules, it is not perfection that prevails here, but expression, the freedom to create. Because a piece, even a little wobbly, has its own beauty, and it is these imperfections that make it unique.

You will also have the opportunity to collect your creations, after firing, about a month after your workshop.
