Winter Break: The Château des Pères estate will be completely closed from December 22, 2025 to January 7, 2026 inclusive in order to carry out maintenance work and to allow all of our teams to enjoy the holiday season. Thank you for your understanding.

An innovative and original concept An original architecture

The architecture of L’Hôtel L’EssenCiel was born from a bold vision: conceived by Jean-Paul Legendre, the estate's owner, and designed by the Agence d’Architecture Unité, it brings to life a patented concept, unique in France, with a boldly retro-futuristic design.

The building is inspired by the structure of a monumental tree, each branch supporting a suspended bubble. This innovative architectural approach combines technology, poetry, and nature to offer an immersive experience where one feels both grounded and weightless.

Located in Piré-Chancé, L’EssenCiel Hotel enjoys a prime location just 25 minutes from Rennes and 30 minutes from both the train station and Saint-Jacques-de-la-Lande Airport. You can reach Nantes in 1 hour, and Paris or London in just 2 hours, making the hotel both an escape into nature and an easily accessible destination.

Located within the Domaine du Château des Pères, L’EssenCiel Hotel will feature 42 rooms of 26 m², each offering high-end amenities and an immersive experience in an architectural concept unlike any other.

For lovers of unusual stays, 36 elevated rooms provide a breathtaking experience, with the highest perched at over 28 metres above the ground. From these suspended cocoons, guests will enjoy stunning views of the surrounding countryside and the exhilarating sensation of sleeping between sky and nature.

For easier access, six rooms are located at ground level and three fully adapted for guests with reduced mobility, ensuring comfort and inclusiveness for all travellers.

To enhance your stay, you will also enjoy direct access to the Sculpture Park and a complete spa area featuring swimming pool, balneotherapy, sauna and hammam — the perfect way to unwind after a day of exploration, contemplation or artistic practice.
